The Grand complication, Time of Christmas !

The Vacheron watch making company is the oldest watch manufacturer in the world. From its beginnings in Switzerland in 1755 it has since expanded to four continents and over 40 locations around the globe. Among its many collections of watches stands the Vacheron Tour de L’ile, one of only seven unique timepieces made. At $1,250,000 the Vacheron Tour de L’ile is one of the most expensive wristwatches; but its manufacture and craftsmanship more than explain the exorbitant cost. This watch has two faces allowing you to observe the world’s time zones, perpetual calendar, a representation of the night sky, sunset time as well as a tourbillon device. This watch is the most complicated double faced watch in existence. As there have only been seven of these watches made the cost and the prestige of owning one is very high. For 250 years and counting Vacheron has made an extraordinary product available only to the elite of the elite in any society.

The Patek Caliber 89 is another very expensive time piece, costing approximately $5,120,000. This watch is more complicated than your first marriage and took genius to create; there are thirty three complications in this watch making it the most complicated piece in the world. It has twenty four hands, 1,728 components, and countless features. There were only four of these watches ever made- one made from white gold, one in yellow gold, one in rose gold and one in platinum. Another stellar Patek watch is the Phillipe Reference 1436 by Tiffany and Co., coming in at approximately $214,000. Many of these watches were made from yellow gold, a few rare pink gold varieties, and only four known platinum styles. This watch has the ability to time two different events at the same time as well as bring you the style, elegance, and high class reputation of Tiffany’s. Finally comes the Patek Philippe Reference 5016P, retailing at $762,000 and boasting a star chart, perpetual calendar, 506 moving parts and a tourbillion (among other features). It is made up of platinum with a leather wristband that will cause jealousy among everyone you meet.

Audemars Piquet has produced a watch that has all the features of the great handcrafted watches without needing an in-depth knowledge of the watch’s inner workings. The Oak Grande Complication watch ($560,000) has a minute repeater, perpetual calendar, split second chronograph and a moon phase observer and is self-winding; meaning, you won’t need to bother yourself with upkeep or making sure it is correct, because it will continue to run long after it has been passed down in your family for a couple generations. This watch has customization features especially for you, but as always it comes at a price. This beautifully crafted watch is meticulously built, balanced, and perfected at the hands of the watch masters of Audemars Piquet. This company is not the oldest watch making company in the world but they have certainly built and continued to make a splash with their stunning product and nonnegotiable quality of business.

The Write, Time of classical music & passion - Virginia Luque, by LETEL.

Virginia Luque, a famous guitarist who plays classical and flamenco music in a Spanish romantic style, has become an admirer of LETEL’s exclusive custom collection.

Ms. Luque, who has been awarded First Prize at several international competitions, including the “Manuel de Falla” competition for classical guitar in Granada, Spain, has an incredible passion for music that developed at an early age out of her genuine interest in letters and the unique sounds that they impart. To her, music is a powerful instrument of communication, which, when used wisely, can communicate splendid messages to the masses.

She has dedicated most of her life to bringing joy to other people’s lives through her breathtaking performances, which, alongside having earned her one of the highest rankings among contemporary guitarists, have also granted her the opportunity to embrace her love for self-expression.

Recently, she has met with the founders of Uber digital luxury, who are Partners at LETEL and responsible for Brand management. Sharing a similar vision of reaching out to people by offering them an exclusive luxury that not only brings joy to their lives, but also grants them a chance to more uniquely express themselves. Both Virginia and LETEL espouse unique creativity in the world of luxury.

Virginia’s distinguished and inspiring journey, which eventually led her to become an endorser of LETEL’s exclusive custom collection. She began at an early age at four, she was presented with her first guitar, which she examined and attempted to play without any formal instruction. At age seven, after having received a lot of formal training, she performed her first concert. It was both a success and a transitional life experience.

After hearing her play, legendary Spanish guitarist, Andres Segovia, invited her to study guitar privately with him. The sound of music from her guitar, and music in general, brought her boundless joy, which motivated her to continue to develop her distinctive and admired skill well into her adulthood.

With continued practice, determination, and perseverance, she eventually earned a Master’s degree in music at an institute in Spain, and a few years later, she decided to move to America where she then earned her second Master’s degree in music, this time from the Julliard School in New York City.

Ms. Luque’s concerto performances have included the Concierto de Aranjuez with the New York Virtuosi Orchestra, the Hartford Symphony Orchestra, the North Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, Riverside Symphony, the Seoul Symphony Orchestra, the Izmir Symphony Orchestra, Antalya Symphony Orchestra and she has premiered her own concerto with the Alexandria Symphony

Her recitals have included Carnegie Hall, Town Hall, The Metropolitan Opera House, The Frick Collection in New York City, and numerous concert halls throughout the United States. She was also invited by Christopher Parkening to do a special guest recital at the Christopher Parkening International Master Class at Montana State University.

LETEL is proud to be a part of such an inspiring individual’s journey, and is proud to present such a dedicated and exceptionally talented musician partnering for some exceptional timepieces from the exclusive custom collection.

Do you care for your, precious Time ?

A watch is an object of exceptional complication and beauty that requires regular care to work properly. Standard maintenance includes safeguarding the movement, protecting the watch from water damage and cleaning the case and band. The following tips will help you care for and preserve your timepieces for generations to come:

How to care for watches with a manual mechanical movement
For watches with a manual (or hand-wound) mechanical movement, be sure to wind the watch once a day, at the same time of day. Be careful not to over-wind the watch. Stop winding the watch as soon as you feel resistance---this indicates the spring has reached maximum tension.

How to care for watches with an automatic movement
If you own a watch with automatic (or self-winding) mechanical movements, be sure to wind the watch once every two weeks if it is worn daily. Wind the watch twice weekly if it is not worn daily.

How to care for watches with quartz movements
If your watch has a quartz movement, you should remove worn batteries and replace them every few years, according to Eli Katz, president of Ashford.com, the leading online retailer of luxury watches. When wearing your watch, it is very important to avoid equipment that create a strong magnetic field, such as speakers, mobile phones and metal detectors. Extreme temperature changes and humid environments, such as showers, hot tubs and saunas, can be harmful for your watch. Damage can also be caused by violent shocks such as dropping the watch as well as activities that require repetitive arm motion (unless the watch was designed for it). Exposure to these risks can negatively affect the movement performance.

Luxury watchmakers, such as Harry Winston, advise a complete movement overhaul every three to five years to keep a timepiece performing perfectly. You may need to take your watch to an authorized dealer for routine maintenance in order to preserve the manufacturer's warranty.

Water Safety
Have your timepiece checked for water-resistance regularly. Some luxury watchmakers, recommend getting a water-resistance check an annual basis. Before wearing your watch in water, ensure that the crown is pushed down or screwed in tightly. Once you are in the water, do not adjust the crown or press on the push buttons, as water can seep into the case. Rinse the watch in fresh water after contact with chlorinated or salt water. If you notice condensation under the crystal or signs of oxidation on the dial, take your watch to a watch professional without delay.

General Cleaning
If a watch is worn regularly, it should be cleaned every two months, generally with a soft, dry cloth.

If your watch has a metal band, some luxury watchmakers recommend careful washing with a soft brush dipped in warm, soapy water. Rinse the watch with warm, clean water before drying it completely. Cartier offers a free metal bracelet kit to owners of its watches. Cartier recommends cleaning the metal bracelet every two months if the watch is worn daily. The kit which can be obtained free of charge from one of Cartier's boutiques around the world.

If your watch has a leather band, be sure never to let it get wet. If it should become saturated with moisture or perspiration, simply wipe and dry it thoroughly. Avoid wrist contact with products such as cosmetics, detergents, moisturizers and perfumes, which can seriously damage a watch's function and finish.

Top picks on - ' How to take care of your time & watch '.

LETEL: Exclusive collection

A watch does not only tell time these days, but in fact a precision instrument made up of hundreds of tiny parts.

Some basic steps of proper care, may ensure your precious watches functionality, appearance and reliable service, as you own it with joy and pleasure. One way or the other, oddly enough we encountered various issues, observed challenges as one can remember explaining. Presenting some of the common problems we attempt to offer the best picks for your solutions. It is fair to say that it is about being personable, competent, friendly and fair, as you look forward to Brand loyalty.

'What is wrong and how to care for your watch' - an expression many of us may have discovered with pleasant or not so pleasant situation, at times.

We felt it was important to shed some light on some of the most basic but confronted issues, apart from the technical aspects which we face in our daily lives.

1.The Case: The body that both holds and protects the watch movement. It's often made from one piece of metal and includes the lugs.

2.The Dial: Also known as the face, it displays the time with markings and subdials.

3.The Crystal: The covering that protects the dial. It's typically made of glass, plastic, or synthetic sapphire (i.e., crystallized aluminum oxide).

4.The Bezel: The outer ring that holds the crystal in place. Some functioning bezels (toothed for easy grip) rotate in one direction to allow divers to safely mark elapsed time.

5. The Pushers: The buttons used to start and stop the basic chronograph functions. The top pusher is typically used to start and stop the stopwatch function; the bottom pusher resets it to zero.

6. The Crown: Also known as the stem, it's often found at the 3:00 position and used to adjust the settings. With manual watches, the crown is sued to wind the mindspring.

7. The Batons: The rectangular bars affixed to a watch dial in place of numerals to mark the hours - also known as 'markers or index'.

8. The Subdials: Usually found on the dials of chronographs, these small circles are used to indicate elapsed time in varying measurements.

Brief guide to watch case materials :
Stainless Steel: The good: Lightweight affordable, and highly corrosion resistant. The bad: Prone to scratching.

Yellow Gold: The good: Holds a shine and, if you're so inclined, screams luxury. The bad: The purer the gold (i.e. the higher the karat), the softer the metal and the more prone it is to dents.

Rose Gold: The good: Rich, distinctive color created by adding copper to the gold. The more copper, the deeper the red tint. The bad: The red color tarnishes with time.

Titanium: The good: Lightweight and tough—about half the weight of steel but almost twice as strong. The bad: Difficult to work with, so it's expensive to repair.

Your Leather Band Stinks: You can't do much to clean it without ruining the leather. Try wiping the band with a little soap and water. But if the smell doesn't go away, it's time to replace the band.

You've Scratched or Cracked the Crystal: A crack or scratch in crystal can't be polished out, but you can get a new one for around $50 or more depending on quality and source. If the crystal is actually Lucite, a scratch can be polished out, but a crack will still require replacement.

You Got Your Watch Wet: Don't fret. If you paid more than $500 for it, there's a good chance it's water-resistant. Depending on the movement of course, it may cross well over $500 for an overhaul for a mechanical watch. (ref: esquire.com).

Now is it possible to avoid all surprise, issue or unexpected situations, should matters fail your watch at a point, with care chances are better for a longer time.

There is a new but a different unique solution, where an opportunity presents itself to select what works for your lifestyle, need, like, want, and desire. Specifically made for you with your name on it. To add to the tip of iceberg, better yet you can order from anywhere in the world at your own comfort online, delivered to your doorstep.
Now that is a Bespoke service - 1st of its kind - don't you think ?

Laura Colgan and the spirit of excellence !

Born in Raleigh, North Carolina, Laura Colgan- a brave woman whose passion for self-expression tells an inspirational story- began her journey not knowing where it would take her. Unlike many who are afraid of taking risks, Laura Colgan took risks and discovered that self-expression, especially the kind that flaunts ones uniqueness, actually brings much joy, and is very fulfilling.

Entering high school, she had the option to either pursue sports or modeling, and she chose sports. Her excellent performance throughout all four years in the program eventually earned her a college scholarship for a volley ball program. After two years in the program, she realized that her interests have changed and that she wanted to pursue career in the modeling industry. She auditioned with many agencies and eventually landed a job, yet her heart was not set in place. Excited, she immediately enrolled in several modeling and acting classes. Her ultimate aim was to do her best, so that one day she would become a prominent model in the industry; where an example for glamour, can reflect within as she had yet to discover her passion.

Over time and challenging moments that helped shape both her personal life and modeling career, she eventually recognized her personal unique approach modeling from a different angle. She could not come to terms with the idea that an individual’s worthiness is dictated by a measurement on a scale: a lesser weight signifying that they’re worthy; a greater weight signifying that they’re not - surely there is more. She became aware that this industry has so many beautiful, strong, confident and amazing attractive ladies, all of whom sometimes are not fortunate to draw media's attention to flourish in the lime light. Instead, idealizes those that are typically made of a model trait.

Considering Laura's natural aura of beauty within, pleasant warm personality, a beautiful women and a radiant smile bright enough to lift a heart, she carried on to exceed her expectations. She began to study, research and worked hard followed by a strict regimen making sure to accentuate her physique. Within a few months she rose to the occasion, being a healthy gym and love running person like many spectacular individuals; she finds that it relieves stress.

She wanted to be a light to those who lived in the shadows, a voice for those who have yet to find theirs, a bridge that allows narrow minded, traditional opinions to be stretched beyond their capacity to the point where the stubborn walls either shatter under the pressure or bend and welcome the change, and an inspiration for lovely ladies and dashing gentlemen of all ages to be confident in their own skin and own their body and all its perfect imperfections. Even though easily agreed or said than done, there is no scale to live up to when you are a natural.

Commonly approached, a fact remains that society shouldn't dictate whether or not someone is skinny enough, beautiful enough, tall enough, strong enough, etc. Each individual should accept who they are, should express themselves freely, without fear or intimidation. And each individual should flaunt their uniqueness and be proud of it.

As a result of such a positive powerful natural gift, Laura's importance of expressing oneself and one’s uniqueness grew further, as she embarked upon an interest in letters. Letters, she believed, are magical symbols of expression and inspiration. Each individual values the first letter of their name, with some wearing it on a necklace, while others wear it on bracelet. Letters, she believed are powerful. It’s no wonder, they have taken focus of the this strong industry in a short while: Letel.

After becoming acquainted with Letel's Partner from Uber digital Luxury, the company’s distinct designs and the goals of this unique brand for tomorrow, excited her to explore the Brand. Who has taken intricate steps for Women's bespoke timepieces, along with Men who are predominantly the big fans for Watches. To her surprise, she discovered that each individual has their own distinct personality and it can shine through any uniquely chosen body adornment such as a watch, a bracelet, a ring or the like thereof. Most importantly, Laura was impressed and thrilled to hear of Letel's partnership with New York Women's ensemble (a non-profit organization for Women), in addition to sharing a common interest: doing good works to help the less advantaged members of society.

Discovering the powerful message LETEL inspires, Laura Colgan joined this journey of excellence with Letel to express herself. Life changing experience undoubtedly taught her a valuable truth. In Laura’s words, “let us all be the change we want to see in the world. Let us all welcome this change with open hearts and acceptance of both diversity and the beauty in the imperfections.” With an admiring standpoint, her powerful gesture to inspire other women regardless of the challenges anyone faced, attempting to make a difference empowers LETEL; resonating from an inevitable source of dedicated excellence and success.

The Unstoppable - Letel & Rashad Butler !

Rashad Butler.

Rashad Butler, the all American offensive football tackler for the Cleveland Browns, was one of the strongest inspiration for Christopher Durrell, the co-founder of Letel, to further develop the company’s lettered watch designs, each of which symbolizes success.

At an early age, Rashad recognized the importance of perseverance, witnessing that without perseverance, goals are hardly ever achieved. His adulthood encounters, one of which took place in 2006, the year when the Carolina Panthers drafted him, magnified his vision of wanting to become a famous and inspirational football player.

Impressed with his bulkiness and ideal weight, the Carolina Panthers were delighted as Rashad joined the team. Thrilled, he envisioned that the opportunity would allow him another step forward to reach an even greater depth in his football career. Shortly after being appointed, he began to lose weight, and eventually got disqualified; this, however, did not stop him from thriving to succeed.

In 2007, he signed with the Houston Texans, anticipating that this year would be different from the previous one in that he would sustain his professional career going forward. A few weeks after he signed with the Texans, however, he discovered that he suffered from ulcerative colitis, a chronic medical condition which prevented him from bulking up. Difficult to diagnose, ulcerative colitis never stopped him from being determined to move forward. He searched for a diagnosis among the medical community and was fortunate to find an effective one, eventually re-gaining his weight and ability to bulk up.  Even though his condition did not affect his status on the team, he preferred to renounce his position to take a break from his profession, believing that this course of action would be in his best interest.

In 2013, he signed with the Cleveland Browns, and he continues to be a dedicated team member whose talents and skills are highly recognized.

Rashad’s passion to thrive and a will to stand up again and again against any and all circumstantial challenges was never ending, yet very persistent - in order to succeed at actualizing his dream of becoming a famous and inspirational football player was what inspired Christopher Durrel. Letel, which focuses on the design of unique bespoke custom made time pieces that are the first of their kind in the watch industry, has yet to reveal some of the most appealing precious time pieces.

Both Rashad Butler and Christopher Durrell share a common belief and a drive: perseverance is the key to success. While Rashad demonstrates this belief in his encounters, Christopher demonstrates this belief by a bespoke unique concept which is a rewarding signature of success, a symbol of achievement and prestige.

In a time where an industry is highly competitive cultivating with new idea and advanced technology, Christopher embarked upon an intricate new concept of the 1st custom made watch. Christopher partnered with Uber digital Luxury brand management company developing its designs to cater to customers that are searching for a unique and valuable item that accentuates not only their personality but a signature to their name. Similarly, Rashad and Letel connects to this challenge moving forward without any known boundaries or barriers.

After having met with the Christopher, Rashad expressed his interest in the philosophy behind Letel’s uniquely designed watches, and his appreciation for Christopher’s interest in his dedication.

Rashad owns his own customized watch that bears an 'R' which of course resonates his name. He wears it as a symbol of thriving force of victory. Letel is a proud and dedicated Timekeeper of such an unstoppable force of success and powerful determination.

From pocket watches to the 21st Century, Bell & Ross today.

The brand was launched in 1992. The first watches were designed by Belamich and Rosillo and made by a German watchmaker Sinn.

Two boyhood friends, joined forces for one of the most beautiful adventures in watchmaking of the late 20th century.
They decided to launch a simple idea: “function shapes form.” Efficiency, legibility, and reliability were the three words that was the philosophy of the Bell & Ross brand.

Watches such as the BR Instrument have been designed to replicate the shape of a cockpit instrument taken from an aircraft. The BR02 range caters for diving professionals through the use of highly legible dials and cases water resistant to withstand 1000 metres of pressure.

Space One and Hydro were the fruit of this collaboration..
The second idea was to get the concept off the ground by presenting it a strong identity as an efficient chronometer, to meet the requirements of the most exacting user. Immediately adopted by NATO and the Air Force, Bell and Ross also found takers within the French security service’s bomb disposal squad.
Another offering is the Hydromax; which contains hydraulic fluid within the case to counteract the effects of external pressures.

They created Hydromax, the most reliable watch in the world, for deep underwater work, with the world abyssal record for water resistance to 11,000 meters. They also managed to restore with great success the taste for pilot watches that had flourished in the 50s and 60s, but which had since been forgotten.

Bell & Ross's first watches were virtual re-issues of Sinn models and carried the Bell & Ross logo as well as Sinn's. The partnership ended in 2002, when Bell & Ross began its own independent production in its facilities La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland.

After opening its first European sole ownership boutique in Paris in 2011, Bell & Ross continues to expand around Europe by inaugurating its third store in Europe, in Prague, capital of Czech Republic.
Two years after opening its first store in Singapore, Bell & Ross chose the historic center of Prague to open its 14th self-owned store.
The new boutique will shelter the entire collection, through lines AVIATION, MARINE, VINTAGE, as well as exceptional pieces such as the BR01 Tourbillon.
"This long-awaited opening will offer collectors a wide selection of watches in a venue consistent with the aesthetic codes of the brand, and a bespoke service," said Carlos Rosillo, Bell & Ross CEO.
Like all Bell & Ross boutiques, this one perfectly reflects the identity and principles that characterize the brand: pure lines and timeless elegance.
