Born in Raleigh, North Carolina, Laura Colgan- a brave woman whose passion for self-expression tells an inspirational story- began her journey not knowing where it would take her. Unlike many who are afraid of taking risks, Laura Colgan took risks and discovered that self-expression, especially the kind that flaunts ones uniqueness, actually brings much joy, and is very fulfilling.
Entering high school, she had the option to either pursue sports or modeling, and she chose sports. Her excellent performance throughout all four years in the program eventually earned her a college scholarship for a volley ball program. After two years in the program, she realized that her interests have changed and that she wanted to pursue career in the modeling industry. She auditioned with many agencies and eventually landed a job, yet her heart was not set in place. Excited, she immediately enrolled in several modeling and acting classes. Her ultimate aim was to do her best, so that one day she would become a prominent model in the industry; where an example for glamour, can reflect within as she had yet to discover her passion.
Over time and challenging moments that helped shape both her personal life and modeling career, she eventually recognized her personal unique approach modeling from a different angle. She could not come to terms with the idea that an individual’s worthiness is dictated by a measurement on a scale: a lesser weight signifying that they’re worthy; a greater weight signifying that they’re not - surely there is more. She became aware that this industry has so many beautiful, strong, confident and amazing attractive ladies, all of whom sometimes are not fortunate to draw media's attention to flourish in the lime light. Instead, idealizes those that are typically made of a model trait.
Considering Laura's natural aura of beauty within, pleasant warm personality, a beautiful women and a radiant smile bright enough to lift a heart, she carried on to exceed her expectations. She began to study, research and worked hard followed by a strict regimen making sure to accentuate her physique. Within a few months she rose to the occasion, being a healthy gym and love running person like many spectacular individuals; she finds that it relieves stress.
She wanted to be a light to those who lived in the shadows, a voice for those who have yet to find theirs, a bridge that allows narrow minded, traditional opinions to be stretched beyond their capacity to the point where the stubborn walls either shatter under the pressure or bend and welcome the change, and an inspiration for lovely ladies and dashing gentlemen of all ages to be confident in their own skin and own their body and all its perfect imperfections. Even though easily agreed or said than done, there is no scale to live up to when you are a natural.
Commonly approached, a fact remains that society shouldn't dictate whether or not someone is skinny enough, beautiful enough, tall enough, strong enough, etc. Each individual should accept who they are, should express themselves freely, without fear or intimidation. And each individual should flaunt their uniqueness and be proud of it.
As a result of such a positive powerful natural gift, Laura's importance of expressing oneself and one’s uniqueness grew further, as she embarked upon an interest in letters. Letters, she believed, are magical symbols of expression and inspiration. Each individual values the first letter of their name, with some wearing it on a necklace, while others wear it on bracelet. Letters, she believed are powerful. It’s no wonder, they have taken focus of the this strong industry in a short while: Letel.
After becoming acquainted with Letel's Partner from Uber digital Luxury, the company’s distinct designs and the goals of this unique brand for tomorrow, excited her to explore the Brand. Who has taken intricate steps for Women's bespoke timepieces, along with Men who are predominantly the big fans for Watches. To her surprise, she discovered that each individual has their own distinct personality and it can shine through any uniquely chosen body adornment such as a watch, a bracelet, a ring or the like thereof. Most importantly, Laura was impressed and thrilled to hear of Letel's partnership with New York Women's ensemble (a non-profit organization for Women), in addition to sharing a common interest: doing good works to help the less advantaged members of society.
